1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication data provided during registration through our authentication provider (Clerk).

Training Data: Quiz answers, scenario runs, exam attempts, scores, and training progress. This data is used to personalize your learning experience and track your progression.

Voice Recordings: When you use the voice size-up feature, audio is transmitted to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. Audio is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored by First Due Co. or OpenAI after transcription.

Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve the training platform, track your learning progress and rank progression, personalize quiz questions and study recommendations, process payments, send account-related communications, and analyze usage patterns to improve the product.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

4. Your Training Data

Your training progress (scores, quiz accuracy, scenarios completed, XP, rank) is stored securely and is only visible to you. Your individual quiz answers and voice recordings are never shared with other users. Leaderboard data (name initial, rank, scores) is visible to other users on the platform.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and training history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated training data may be retained for platform improvement purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including: encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), encrypted database connections, secure authentication via Clerk, PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and associated data, export your training data, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@firstdueco.com.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies may be used to understand how the platform is used, and you can opt out through your browser settings.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that a minor has created an account, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
